500 grams Chicken (Murgi) pieces.
3 Ching's Schezwan Chutney Sachets
2 Onions (Pyaaz)
2 Garlic (mild) Bulbs (Lehsun)
5 Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
3 tbsp Refined Flour (Maida)
3 tbsp Corn Flour
1 tsp Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
1 tsp Black Pepper (Kali Mirch) powder
As per taste Salt (Namak)
8 tbsp + 3 tbsp Water (Paani)
500 ml Cooking Oil for deep frying (Tel)
2 tbsp Cooking Oil (Tel)

    Chicken Schezwan is a dish belonging to the Indo Chinese cuisine.

    Chicken Schezwan is one of the easiest and tastiest dishes one will ever come across.

    I have always been a huge fan of schezwan dishes. Chicken Schezwan is spicy and absolutely lip smacking. My father and I prepared this dish together. This is our take on Chicken Schezwan.

    Now, let us take a look at how to prepare this dish.

    Wash chicken (murgi) pieces thoroughly.

    Take medium sized onions (pyaaz).

    Chop them.

    Now, take garlic (lehsun). The garlic (lehsun) that I have used was mild in flavour so I have added more. Change the quantity depending on the pungency of the garlic (lehsun).

    Chop the garlic (lehsun).

    Take green chillies (hari mirch).

    Slice the green chillies (hari mirch).

    Take sachets of Schezwan chutney.

    Take one sachet and marinate the chicken pieces with it. Do not add salt (namak) while marinating as the chutney already contains salt (namak).

    Take refined flour (maida).

    Take corn flour.

    Put both flours along with black pepper (kali mirch) powder and water (paani).

    Add this to the chicken pieces and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

    Heat cooking oil (tel) in a kadhai (wok) and deep fry the chicken (murgi) pieces.

    Remove once the chicken (murgi) pieces are cooked.

    Heat cooking oil (tel) in a kadhai (wok).

    Add chopped onions (pyaaz).

    Then, add chopped garlic (lehsun).

    Now, add sliced green chillies (hari mirch).

    Then add red chilli (lal mirch) powder. I have used hot red chilli (lal mirch) powder. Change the quantity according to the level of hotness of the chilli powder and your personal preference.

    Add salt (namak) as per taste.

    Now, add the remaining sachets of schezwan chutney.

    Add the remaining marination liquid, if any.

    Next, add the deep fried chicken (murgi) pieces.

    Stir properly and add water (paani) as required depending on the desired consistency.

    Mix properly.

    Your spicy Schezwan Chicken is ready.

    Step 1

    Marinate 500 grams chicken (murgi) pieces with 1 sachet of schezwan chutney. Make a mixture of 3 tbsp refined flour (maida), 3 tbsp corn flour, 1 tsp black pepper (kali mirch) powder, 8 tbsp water (paani). Add this to the chicken (murgi) pieces. and let it marinate for 30 minutes.

    Step 2

    Heat 500 ml cooking oil (tel) in a kadhai (wok) for deep frying the chicken (murgi) pieces. Deep fry the chicken (murgi) pieces and keep aside. Heat 2 tbsp cooking oil (tel) in a kadhai, add 2 medium sized chopped onions (pyaaz). Once the onions (pyaaz) turn translucent, add (2 garlic bulbs) chopped garlic (lehsun). Then, add the sliced green chillies (hari mirch) and stir properly.

    Then, add 1 tsp red chilli (lal mirch) powder and salt (namak) as per taste. Then, add the schezwan chutney from the remaining 2 sachets and stir properly. Add the 500 grams deep fried chicken (murgi) pieces and mix properly. Add the remaining marination liquid, if any. Add 3 tbsp water (paani) and give it a final mix and switch off the gas stove after 30 seconds.

    Your Chicken Schezwan is readyyy!!! You may eat it as a starter or have it with rice or any type of flatbread.
