1 1/2 cups Refined flour (maida) [1 cup = 250 ml]
1 cup Yoghurt (Dahi)
1 cup Sugar (Shakkar)
1/2 cup Cooking oil (Tel)
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 small bottle Crunchy Peanut Butter
1 small bottle Nutella
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
1 tbsp Cocoa powder
As required Slivered almonds (Badam)
As required Slivered cashew nuts (kaju)

Eggless Choco Peanut Butter Cake is very easy to prepare and delicious in taste.

Eggless Choco Peanut Butter Cake is prepared with easily available ingredients.

I am a novice when it comes to baking. It is an art that I really want to master. I have prepared a few disastrous cakes before this one. The saying “Failures are stepping stones to success” holds true. I have prepared this cake in a pressure cooker as my microwave oven stopped working. You may also prepare it in an ordinary oven or a microwave oven.

Let us see how to prepare this simple yet delicious cake.

Firstly, you will require refined flour (maida).

Then, take yoghurt (Dahi).

Now, take sugar (Shakkar).

Now, take cooking oil (tel).

Baking Powder.

Baking Soda.

Vanilla Essence.

Cocoa Powder.

Peanut Butter and Nutella.

Slivered almonds (badam) and cashew nuts (kaju).

Put the refined flour (maida), baking powder and baking soda through a sieve.

In another bowl, take yoghurt (dahi).

Add sugar (shakkar).

Then add vanilla essence.

Add cooking oil (tel) and mix everything properly. Make sure the sugar dissolves completely.

Now, add cocoa powder by putting it through a sieve.

Then, put all the dry ingredients through a sieve.

Now, gently add the dry ingredients in the wet ingredients and stir properly. Make sure you keep stirring in the same direction. For example, if you are stirring clockwise then do not stir anti – clockwise in between.

Grease a cake tin with cooking oil (tel) and dust it properly with refined flour (maida).

Put sand upto 4 inches in a pressure cooker.

Close the lid without the rubber and the whistle.

Once the sand is hot, pour the batter in the cake tin, tap it once or twice so that the batter is at the same level and place it in the pressure cooker and close the lid.

Keep the flame of the gas between low and medium. It will take around 45 minutes to cook. Once the cake is cooked and completely cooled, cut it in half horizontally.

On the bottom side of the cake, spread generous amounts of crunchy peanut butter.

Place the top side of the cake, spread nutella on top and on the sides of the cake and garnish it with slivered almonds (badam) and cashew nuts (kaju).

Your Choco Peanut Butter Cake is ready to be devoured!!!

P.S. If sand is not available, you can also use salt (namak). If you are using an oven or microwave, pre -heat the oven at 180 degrees, then cook for 30 to 35 minutes depending upon the size of your oven.

Step 1

Take 1 1/2 cups of refined flour (maida), 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda and put it through a sieve.

Take 1 cup yoghurt (dahi), add 1 cup sugar (shakkar), 1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence and 1/2 cup cooking oil (tel). Stir properly till the sugar dissolves completely.

Add 1 tbsp cocoa powder by putting through a sieve in the refined flour (maida). Now, put all the dry ingredients through a sieve.

Now, gently add the dry ingredients in the wet ingredients and stir properly. Make sure you do not change the direction of stirring mid way i.e. if you are stirring it clockwise then do not switch to anti - clockwise in between.

Grease a cake tin with cooking oil (tel) and dust it with refined flour (maida). Put sand or salt (namak) upto 4 inches and close the lid without adding the rubber and whistle. Once the sand or salt is hot, pour the batter in the cake tin, tap the cake tin so that the batter is at the same level and place it in the pressure cooker and cover it with the lid.

Keep the flame of the gas between medium and low. It will take around 45 minutes for the cake to cook. Once it cooked and completely cooled, cut it in equal parts horizontally.

On the bottom part, spread crunchy peanut butter generously and place the other half on top. Spread nutella over the cake and even on the sides. Garnish with slivered almonds (badam) and cashew nuts (kaju). Your Choco Peanut Butter Cake is Ready!!!
