1 litre Coconut Milk (Nariyal Ka Doodh)
1 Cup [1 Cup = 250 ml] Gulkand (Rose Petal Preserve)
Kaju Gulkand Vegan Shake is a delicious concoction of cashew nuts and gulkand which is a sweet preserve of rose petals.
Kaju Gulkand Vegan Shake is prepared with coconut milk instead of regular milk to make it dairy free.
I love all the ingredients that go into preparing this drink. It is a thick shake and can replace your regular meal if you are in a hurry and can not grab a bite. It is basically prepared with three ingredients, cashew nuts (kaju), gulkand (rose petal preserve) and coconut milk (nariyal ka doodh).
Let us see how to prepare this yummy kaju gulkand vegan shake.
Firstly, soak cashew nuts (kaju) in water (paani) for one hour. The main reason for this is that soaked cashew nuts (kaju) are easy to grind.
Take coconut milk (nariyal ka doodh). It is always better to use freshly prepared coconut milk (nariyal ka doodh). If you do not have time, you may also use the ones which are available in tetra packs or cans. You may also use milk (doodh) instead of coconut milk (nariyal ka doodh) in which case it will not be vegan but vegetarian.
Finally, take gulkand (rose petal preserve). There is no need to add any sweetner as gulkand (rose petal preserve) already contains sugar (shakkar).
Blend all the ingredients together to a smooth consistency. You may add a few ice cubes or you may keep it in the refrigerator after blending. Your Kaju Gulkand Vegan Shake is ready. Serve it in glasses.
