Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
250 grams Paneer
1 Capsicum (Simla Mirch) diced
1 Onions (Pyaaz) chopped
1 Spring onions (Hara pyaaz) chopped
3 Green chillies (Hari mirch) slit
8 cloves Garlic (Lehsun) chopped
1 tsp Soya sauce
1 1/2 tsp Green chilli sauce
1 tsp Black pepper (Kali mirch) powder
1/2 tsp Red chilli (Lal mirch) powder
3 tbsp Refined flour (Maida)
1 tbsp Corn flour
As per taste Salt (Namak)
300 ml (cooking and deep frying) Cooking Oil (Tel)
1/2 cup Water (Pani)

Paneer or cottage cheese Chilli is a perfect fusion of Indian and Chinese cuisine. Paneer Chilli is a very famous starter and you will absolutely love it. Try this recipe and you will definitely ask for more helpings.

Step 1

Cut the paneer into cubes. Make a batter with refined flour (maida), corn flour, soya sauce, green chilli sauce, black pepper (kali mirch) powder, red chilli (lal mirch) powder and little water (pani).

Coat the paneer pieces with the batter and deep fry.

In a wok/ kadhai, heat oil (tel), add chopped onions (pyaaz) and spring onions (hara pyaaz). Once they turn translucent, add finely chopped garlic (lehsun) and saute.

Add the slit green chillies (hari mirch). Add soya sauce, green chilli sauce, black pepper (kali mirch) powder, red chilli (lal mirch) powder and saute. Add the capsicum (simla mirch) and once it is almost cooked add the deep fried paneer pieces and mix well.

Garnish with spring onion greens (hare pyaaz ke patte).
