Firstly. take whole black peppers (kali mirch) and pound them with a mortar and pestle. This tastes best with hand pounded black pepper kali mirch) powder. So, please avoid using store bought black pepper  (kali mirch)powder.

Heat cooking oil (tel) in a kadhai (wok).

Then, add the chicken (murgi) pieces.

Fry the chicken pieces for around 5 minutes till they change colour.

Add the hand pounded black pepper (kali mirch) powder.

Then, add salt (namak) as per taste.

Stir it properly and add water (paani) and then cover it with a cloche (dhakkan). Let the chicken (murgi) cook on a medium flame.

Once the chicken (murgi) is cooked, fry it for around 8 minutes till the outer part of the chicken becomes slightly crisp. This enhances the taste of the dish.

Take 1 tbsp black peppercorns (kali mirch) and pound it to a powder with a mortar and pestle. Heat 50 ml cooking oil (tel) in a kadhai (wok). Add 1/2 kg chicken (murgi) pieces. Fry for around 5 minutes till the chicken (murgi) changes colour.
